Head of School Search Update

Following Dave Provost’s November announcement that he would be accepting the position of Head of School at Glen Urquhart School on July 1 of 2012, the Board of Trustees engaged the services of Resource Group 175, LLC and its President, Tom Evans, to assist the Board in selecting Dave’s successor.  Tom visited the school in early November and met with faculty, parents, and trustees so that a position description could be developed and the search launched.  In the last two months he has been working to develop a large and qualified candidate pool.  The search schedule going forward is as follows:

February 6:  Search Committee meets and reviews application materials of the strongest candidates, perhaps as many as 20 files.  It decides which candidates to meet for preliminary, confidential interviews.

February 10 and 11:  Search Committee conducts these initial interviews, usually of 8 to 10 individuals, in person or by Skype.  It decides which candidates to advance as public finalists.

Weeks of February 13 and 20:  Finalists visit the campus and meet all constituents.

Late February and into March:  Search Committee recommends finalist to Board of Trustees; selection made.
