Making a difference
Rooted in its beginnings as a parent cooperative, Nantucket New School has a proud tradition of welcoming volunteers to enrich the life of the school. While we no longer rely on parent support for daily operations, NNS continues to offer a variety of meaningful volunteer opportunities for parents and community members alike.
Parents as Partners
Parents often serve as Room Leaders Parents, chaperone field trips, and assist in organizing special events and parent education programs. Community members are regularly invited to share their experiences during Morning Meeting or share their expertise as a guest speaker. These contributions help strengthen our school community and offer students valuable connections beyond the classroom.
