We are wearing yellow today, getting ready for spring celebrations, including Passover, Easter, and Daffy! After a long, windy winter, it’s lovely to see daffodils in bloom and the bright blue sky. Our student council, led by Upper School representatives, leads the way in creating spirit days—and New School students love a reason to dress up! We’ve got students with yellow wings, faces painted, and every shade of yellow brightening up our day.
This week, we held parent conferences. I love parent conferences because it’s a time to reflect on student progress and share news of academic learning and social growth with families. Because I have been working with fourth grade more closely this spring, it was nice to meet with parents and celebrate the students' accomplishments. It’s also a great opportunity to consider how we challenge, stretch, and support every student. Thank you, parents, for your collaboration and partnership in helping your children learn and grow!
If you’re celebrating holidays this weekend, enjoy! As a native of Concord, MA, this weekend is always one to look forward to – This year is a bit different, as it marks the 250th anniversary of the “shot heard ‘round the world”. The Boston Marathon is always a favorite - and of course, there’s Red Sox baseball.
Enjoy, happy days, have a wonderful weekend!
