From Danielle:

Harvest Bash
Thank you to our committee co-chairs, Zahra Kasza and Kate Kling. We began meeting over the summer and they've been working hard throughout the fall to ensure the success of this important event. You did it! Thank you to our committee members, Lo McShay, Becky Becker, Bess Clarke, Doug Massey, Holly Wall, Jen Hudson, Caroline Montgomery, Carol Evens, and Meg Pearson. They've each called in many, many favors to build the list of amazing auction items, and that effort translated into really impactful fundraising. Doug, thank you for chairing the after-party committee- seeing our guests in full costume on the dance floor at the Box was worth all the effort. Lo, your work on the decor was magical. When we began our committee meetings in September, Lo had a vision for a giant, floating, balloon octopus. Mission accomplished!

My sincere gratitude to Kate Olson and Tracy Bakalar. I'm so proud that our small school can host all of these events, maintain social media accounts and websites, produce postcards and care packages, and so much more. I'm amazed. Thank you Kate and Tracy for going above and beyond.

We were able to raise funds for financial assistance for students in need, operating expenses, purchasing necessary materials for classrooms and extracurricular activities, professional development, fostering partnerships with local businesses and organizations to enhance educational opportunities, and more. The success of the Harvest Bash is a true testament to the unwavering support and dedication of our school community. We also had a whole lotta fun. In a meeting earlier this week, a family described it as party filled with their closest friends. At another meeting, someone said that they were able to sit next to someone they hadn't met and had the best time. Next year will be our 20th Annual Harvest Bash. We're already excited!

Warmly,
Danielle Henry Beale
Interim Head of School
