Our first Morning Meeting of the year focused on kindness and belonging. A PK student said that kindness is a “warm, happy feeling,” and she summed it up better than I could! Kindness is the magic that transforms our school into a warm, caring, and nurturing place. It's the small acts of compassion, like helping a classmate who's having a tough day, or offering a friendly smile in the hallway, that can make a big difference. Kindness is contagious! I asked students to remember that every act of kindness, no matter how small, has a ripple effect that can positively impact our entire community.
Safety & Security
As you may have noticed, we’ve been navigating some new external door locking protocols this year! Our new system provides windows of time at arrival and dismissal when the doors are unlocked, and doors remain locked throughout the school day. Faculty and staff have key fobs, and we’ve installed a doorbell for visitors.
Families are always welcome to come into the school buildings at any time. We’re guided by best practices at similar day schools, and families will receive a common PIN which will be changed periodically. Please do not share this code with anyone.
Looking forward to seeing you in building, often!
